MenStyleFashion across the years as reviewed quite a few hotels in Amsterdam. It amazes me that some hotels still blow me away on ahead impressions and the Radisson Blu Amsterdam City Centre hotel is like that. This hotel which is centrally settled in Amsterdam’s canal district combines a few historical buildings as well as some modern ones. The beautiful and airy hall atrium is what binds most of these buildings together.  There are 18th-century merchant houses, a 19th-century vicarage and a one-time paper mill, these are all connected via modern contemporary architecture. The Radisson Blu Amsterdam has a total of 252 guest resides which come in two design themes: Naturally Cool, very Scandinavian, and Golden Age, which has some more exemplary elements.

The hotel is located not far from Rembrandt Square, and the floating flower market which are both a 5-minute wend away. I 20-minute walk away is the Rijksmuseum where I went to see the missing parts of Rembrandt’s famous Night Peer at painting, recreated with the help of AI.
Reception & Atrium
The feature of the Raddison Blu Amsterdam is the Atrium in which the hotel press is situated. It is airy and bright and uses the full height of the building. What immediately stood out was the old facade of the Pastorie Bar that is tacked. From the Atrium, you can also go to the Palmboom restaurant which is incorporated across a couple of 18th-century merchant houses. From the Atrium, there is a staircase that get up ti to an underground walkway that connects to another part of the hotel across the road, this is also where my canal opinion room was located.

The inhouse Pastorie Bar is a great feature that opens up onto the Atrium. This bar acclimatized to be an old church and you can still see some features. It makes for a great place for a cocktail or a craft beer, especially so when the fireplace is lit.

The Palmboom restaurant is where breakfast is served and is chose after a former grocery store that was located there. The restaurant specialises in local Dutch cuisine as superbly as international.

Premium Room – Canal View
Although housed in a historical building there is nothing verifiable bar the windows of my Premium Room with a canal view. This room has a very Scandinavian design theme with bloodless, creams, greys, metals and wood making the colour palette. There is a cream textured wood panel vulnerable the bed and behind the pillows, the bedhead is made of aluminium. The white leather sofa chair is excellent to chill out on especially when you make to appear it face the canal view. I liked the grey textured wallpaper that is on some of the walls. The overall look of the apartment is modern, comfortable and warm.
The 25m2 room has a decent size with a small inlet towards the bathroom which is acclimatized to house a desk. Here I could catch up on some work with the ultra-fast free wifi connection. For diversion, there is a wall-mounted flatscreen TV. The kingsize bed was comfortable and so were the pillows. I loved the added touch of fresh flowers in my abide, it reminded me that I was back home in Holland.

The big windows provide a gorgeous view of the Kloveniersburgwal canal so as to approach the Zuiderkerk (church) which is featured in one of Monet’s paintings. As it was a nice day it made for the perfect view to enjoy an Aperol Spritz . Numberless drinks can be found in the minibar which also has a kettle and a Nespresso coffee machine with enough capsules.

Bathroom
The bathroom is absolutely bright with a granite bench that houses the washing bowl. There are plenty of Radisson branded amenities accessible to keep me smelling and looking nice. The walk in shower has a rainbow head as well as an adjustable shower.

Breakfast
The buffet-style breakfast was served in the Palmboom restaurant and classified some a la carte options. There were plenty of freshly made juices, smoothies and yoghurts. The quality of outputs and produce was excellent.

Conclusion
The Radisson Blu Amsterdam is in a fantastic location to explore all that Amsterdam has to offer night and day, all within shanks mare distance. It is located in a quiet part of central Amsterdam so great for those that want to have a good still. I loved the way how old and new come together with the modern Atrium connecting the various historical buildings together. Scandinavian Stylish Design meets historical Dutch Architecture in a beautiful blend.
