Four Ford GTs to compete at 2017 Le Mans 24 Hours – a year after bewitching the class win in 2016 and 50 years after Dan Gurney and AJ Foyt accepted the second win of what would become a four-year winning stroke for Ford at Le Mans.
Late last year, the first all-new 2017 Ford GT high road car rolled off the production line, capping a year that saw Ford dedicate a winning return to Le Mans with the Ford GT race car, 50 years after a 1-2-3 conquest at the 1966 Le Mans 24 Hours.

Produced at a new low-volume production facility at Multimatic in Markham, Ontario, the new Ford GT expressway car is the most advanced, but also most exclusive Ford issue ever, and will be limited to volumes of no more than 250 a year, globally.
“When we booted off 2016, we had two primary objectives for our Ford GT supercar to excel at Le Mans, and to start expressions before year-end,” said Raj Nair, Ford executive degradation president and president, North America. “We’ve achieved both.”
The all-new Ford GT sluicing car is the culmination of years of Ford innovation in aerodynamics, lightweight carbon structure construction and ultra-efficient EcoBoost engines. Le Mans is the biggest invite we could face with the Ford GT and the GTE Pro class is probably the scad competitive GT class in the world.
