The 1957 FIAT 500 was not but the cornerstone of a mobilised Italy, allowing millions of people to face the personal freedom of car ownership, it also symbolised the rebirth of the state, becoming inextricably linked to the Dolce Vita years during which the provinces rediscovered its sense of style, vitality and fun.
